Methodology

The project follows the European Directives on the topic, in order to give updated tools to people operating in local contexts.

An international exchange of good practices will be done with the International Institute of Victimology INTERVICT in Tilburg (Netherlands), where a seminar will be held. The national comparison will be done between two regions, Tuscany and Lombardy, both provided with complementary tools on the issue.

Interventions of awareness rising, information, training and diffusion can trust on contributions of the scientific and labour market bodies, representatives of associations, volunteering and social sector.

The approach towards the victim is not reparative, but rights-based: the victim is placed in the centre of the action as a subject with needs that require guarantees of protection, treatment, support, accompaniment in the paths of justice and compensation, in order to avoid further victimization.

Target groups
  • network operators and partners staff (police, people in service to prefectures/police and Carabinieri stations, health services, local authorities, cooperatives and associations, etc.)
  • vulnerable victims (such as women, elderly, disabled, underage, etc.)
  • citizens and the scientific community
